1. HR Business Partner
Employment law is constantly changing with new legislation and case law being introduced and updated on a regular basis. Navigating the employment minefield and understanding the need to comply with statutory requirements is an ongoing battle for all businesses. It is a battle which must be won as failure can lead to disputes and ultimately defending cases at Tribunals. This failure can be an expensive error of judgement for a business, not just in terms of the negative publicity associated with Tribunals but also the legal costs.
How does HR Business Partner Work
Our business model is based on offering a true HR Business Partner service to our clients. As our client you will have a dedicated HR Business Partner to look after your needs. We are a local Northern Ireland based HR consultancy and we value the importance of knowing our business partners. We aim to build strong personal relationships, develop mutual understanding and deliver consistent results. Our approach is to listen and spend time understanding your business, your requirements and your culture so that we get it right first time. Johanna approaches each client relationship with enthusiasm, passion and drive to provide creative solutions to client HR issues. As your HR Business Partner, Johanna will visit your business, consult with you and be your HR support when you need HR or Employment Advice. You control the partnership model – determining how much support you want and which manner you would like it delivered in i.e. we can visit you regularly on site, talk on the phone, respond to HR queries via email or a mixture of all.
Our flexible |HR Business Partner service provides you with a HR Business Partner who can help you to make decisions based on their understanding of NI employment legislation. This service provides you with access to up-to-date employment information. Typical situations where this is used:
- calls / meetings for advice on how to handle various employee related issues
- employee investigations
- chairing disciplinary matters
- managing sickness absence
- sitting at monthly management meetings
For such tasks I can be involved as much or as little as you would like:
- Provide advice to you/ the Directors/ Management: in person at a meeting / via skype or Facetime/ on the phone / via email or a culmination of all four whichever is your preference
- Draft any required documentation including letters / correspondence templates and send to them to you in soft copy for you to issue
- Review any documentation you have drafted and advise on any amendments needed
- Attend meetings as required

- Run one training session for all managers as a group and discuss case studies together
- Run the main training session as a group
- Follow up with individual one-to-one support sessions for the individual managers
- Run individual one-to-one sessions for the individual managers focusing on one specific situation
